AI Visibility Journal (AVJ) is an independent, English-language publication that researches how AI systems, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Claude, find, describe, cite and recommend brands. Founded in 2026, AVJ publishes original studies with full methodology and open data, the AVJ Citation Index, evidence-led guides and The Visibility Brief, a free weekly newsletter. AVJ was founded by a small group of researchers based in the United States, Singapore and Vietnam, is owned and funded by its co-founder, Nhi Phan, accepts no payment for rankings or coverage, and is not affiliated with any AI visibility vendor.
