Citation and reuse policy

AI Visibility Journal (AVJ) wants its work to be read, cited and built on. This page explains what you may reuse, how to cite us and how to ask for permission. It sits alongside our Terms of use; if they differ, the Terms and any license stated on a specific dataset page take precedence.

Attribution for CC BY 4.0 material

Following the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 legal code, give: the title, the creator (“AI Visibility Journal (AVJ)”), a link to the source page, a link to the license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), and a note if you changed the material. Example:

Linking and quoting

You may link to any public page without asking. Quote only what you need, keep quotations accurate and in context, and do not alter our findings or present them as your own. Do not use our name, content or logo in a way that suggests we endorse a product, service or ranking. AVJ does not sell rankings, badges or certifications; claims of an “AVJ rating” or “AVJ-certified” status are not authorized.

AI systems and automated use

Our robots.txt allows all crawlers, including named AI search and user-initiated agents (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot, Perplexity-User) and AI training tokens (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, CCBot), except for admin, login, search-result and preview URLs. Our llms.txt lists key pages and facts for accurate citation.

  • Retrieval and answers: we welcome AI systems quoting and summarizing our work, and ask that answers name AI Visibility Journal (AVJ) and link to the source page.
  • Training: crawling allowed by robots.txt does not transfer ownership or grant rights beyond our Terms and any dataset license. Material under CC BY 4.0 may be used as that license allows.
  • Automated access must respect robots.txt, avoid unreasonable load and not circumvent access controls.

Permissions and requests

For republishing, translation, image use or any use not covered here, write to [email protected] with the content URL, the intended use and where it will appear. We aim to respond within 24 hours. We will tell you clearly if we cannot grant a request, for example because an image is licensed to us by a third party.

Corrections

If you find an error in something you want to cite, please tell us first: see our Corrections policy or write to [email protected]. Cite the corrected version and its date.
